Building Permits
BUILDING PERMITS and INSPECTIONS are required in the Township. All new construction (excluding sheds 120 sq. foot or less), electrical, heating and plumbing changes require permits. Contact the Building Inspector for information about obtaining your permit.
A $100.00 fine per day will be enforced for any construction started before obtaining a permit.

Dog Licenses
State law requires that all dogs in the Township be licensed annually by May 1st. Contact the Town Clerk at (608) 219-3556 to obtain a license. Failure to license your pet will result in a fine of $20.00 per dog per month. If your dog is picked up for running at large you will also have to pay a boarding fee charge. A fine may also occur from Dane County at $110.00 or more per animal plus court fees. For the safety of your pet and to save yourself money, please license at the local level.
